Do You Need A Cake Pop Maker To Make Cake Pops

Last December when I was doing some Christmas shopping I ran across this delightful little appliance called a “Cake Pop Maker.” I’d obviously heard of cake pops before, but I had no idea they were so easy to make at home with this little gem (which I found on Amazon for about $20.) I also didn’t realize how many delicious things you could make in it besides cake! Turns out it’s ideal for creating bite-size versions of your favorite dishes

Mix up the corn breadaccording to the package directions. Cut the hot dogs into small pieces. Pour about 1/2 a tablespoon of the corn bread mix into each well of the cake pop maker. Add a piece of hot dog to each well. Cook for 3-5 minutes or until the corn bread starts to brown. Serve with your favorite dipping sauces.

Why

Place a small piece of dough in the bottom of each well. Top with about a teaspoon of marinara, 1 or 2 mini pepperoni, a sprinkle of mozzarella, and another piece of dough. Don’t worry about them looking perfect! Mine looked pretty messy before they were cooked but they turned out great. Cook for 3-5 minutes or until pizza dough starts to brown.

My daughter-in-law Kaitlyn got this recipe from her college roommate and says she used to make them as a quick and easy meal while studying. Back then she cooked them in the oven but we decided to try making them in the cake pop maker and were delighted by how easy and delicious they were!

Mix all of the ingredients together in a large bowl until well combined. Add about a tablespoon of the mix to each well of the cake pop maker. Cook for 4-5 minutes or until the taco bites are browned.

Simply break off a piece of cinnamon roll dough and roll it into a ball. Make sure to fold the cinnamon pieces to the inside so they don’t melt off onto the cake pop maker. Cook for 2-3 minutes or until slightly browned.

Cake pops from scratch can be decorated to suit any taste bud, season, or holiday. I chose to decorate these pops with a pink chocolate glaze and white sprinkles for Valentine’s Day. Whip up a batch to celebrate pumpkin season , as a two-bite treat for Easter , or shape them into a snowman during winter!

Step 5 – Pour 1 tablespoon of batter into each of the cake pop maker molds. Close the top and bake until the green light comes on.

Step 7 – Pierce with a cake pop stick. Dip each pop in the melted chocolate so the cake is fully coated. Add the sprinkles on top, and then place them in the fridge to fully cool and harden.

Cake pops can be stored at room temperature in an airtight container for a few days. Don’t keep them in the fridge or else unwelcome condensation will surround the cake pop and ruin the texture.

How To Make Cake Pops

Lightly oil the cooking plates and plug the cake pop maker in to heat it up. There should be an indicator light that notifies you when the device is ready.

Pour the batter into a piping bag and fill each cake pop cavity in the cake pop maker to just below the top (careful not to overfill).

Close the lid and bake for 4 to 5 minutes (you can use a toothpick to check if it’s ready). Remove the cake balls to a tray carefully, as the cake pop maker can become very hot to handle. I like to use a heat gloveor spatula. When finished, unplug the unit and let
