Making an Air Fryer Cake is so simple and easy, it’s a great way to make a little dessert for the family using a boxed cake mix. We like to use this Gluten-Free Pillsbury Funfetti Cake Mix for this recipe, but you can use any boxed cake mix.

The first thing you need is a pan that will fit in the Air Fryer that you are using. We used a Ninja Foodi Air Fryer to make our cake, so I decided to use this 7-inch SpringForm Pan. This pan can also be used for Ninja Foodi Cheesecake too.

The hardest part of making this cake is simply getting the pan out of the Air Fryer, so be sure to use a pan that is easy to remove from the air fryer or you can also use a sling too or a pan that has a handle such as this pan.

In my case, I simply let the cake cool in the air fryer with the lid open for about 5 minutes, then I used an oven mitt to remove it from the air fryer basket.

Since I use a springform pan, I can easily release the cake from the pan, the cake will also lift smoothly right off the bottom of the springform pan, or you can leave it on that pan to serve it too.

I prefer to spray the springform pan with coconut oil spray before putting it into the air fryer, but you can use any high heat oil spray of your choice if you prefer.

Every air fryer is going to heat differently, I can’t stress that enough with any recipe that you find for an air fryer the times may be off simply due to the heat difference in machines.

I have tested this particular recipe in a variety of machines and so far that seemed to be the golden time for me as far as getting it well done in the middle but also not burning the cake too.
