The good news is that they’ll still taste fantastic either way! And as you can see, sometimes we make them without the sticks anyways — like bite size cake truffles, if you will!
Sometimes when making cake balls, the chocolate coating cracks as it hardens. This is caused when the temperature difference between the chilled cake batter balls and melted chocolate is too great.
One way to prevent this is to allow the chocolate to cool just a bit before dipping the balls of batter into it. You’ll have to work quickly before the chocolate cools
Frozen Cake Pops To Celebrate Frozen 2
Once set, you can keep your cake balls or pops at room temperature for up to a week. Store in an airtight container with a paper towel or parchment paper lining the bottom.
Sure! I’d recommend wrapping individual cake pops in plastic wrap, then placing them inside a sealed freezer bag. They should last at least a couple months this way.

If you’re planning to enjoy these frozen cakesicles at a frozen or winter themed party, you’ll want to make them before party day. How far in advance can you make cakesicles? Fresh cake will usually keep for 7-10 days. You should count from the day you make the cake.
