If you can bake a cake, crumble it into crumbs, and make a snowball with your hands, you’ve got the skills needed to make cake pops. Easy Cake Balls Recipe
Cake pops are a trendy and fun treat that’s portable, bite-sized, and can be decorated to look fabulous and unique. These pink-colored pops are the perfect addition to any party. This recipe makes about 15 cake pops, so it’s perfect for making and sharing with friends and family!
Eggs: We need 4 eggs, but they’ll be divided so sort the egg whites from the yolks before you begin to help save a little time
Sweetened Condensed Milk: We only need 1/2 cup of sweetened condensed milk for this recipe, so there will be some leftover. Use canned milk or homemade sweetened condensed milk.
Better Than Anything Cake Bites
Cake pop sticks: While this isn’t a food ingredient, it is necessary for cake pops, otherwise you’d just have cake truffles. About 15 sticks should be plenty.
Pink food coloring: You need to use pink gel food coloring because the water-based liquid food coloring will cause the chocolate to seize. Alternatively, you could just use pink colored melters chocolate instead of white chocolate chips and food coloring.
Sprinkles: Use any festive and fun sprinkles you have to help these cake pops look even more fabulous. This ingredient is optional, but fun.
Cake Batter Condensed Milk Cookies
Preheat your oven to 325 degrees F and line a 9-inch cake pan with parchment paper. Give it a quick spray with cooking oil to help ensure the cake comes out smoothly.
Beat the egg white with an electric mixer in a larger bowl on medium speed until a foam is formed. Beat in 1/2 cup of white sugar and then increase the speed to high. Continue beating until stiff peaks form.
In another bowl, beat the egg yolks with 1/2 cup of sugar and the vanilla extract on high speed until it turns to a nice pale color and increases in volume.
Easy Fudge Recipe Without Condensed Milk
Lightly fold 1/2 of the egg white mixture into the egg yolk mixture and then sift in the flour. Scrape the bowl, from the bottom and then fold it onto the surface and fold in the remaining egg white mixture, combining until smooth.
In a medium bowl, microwave the butter and condensed milk, stirring until smooth. Add that mixture to the cake crumbs, stirring well. If necessary, you can add in more condensed milk to help with the cake crumbs.
Take chunks of the cake mixture and roll them into balls. Transfer the balls to a lined plate or tray and place in the fridge for 15 minutes to help chill and set.
Recipe Chocolate Cake With Condensed Milk Caramel Frosting
In a small bowl, melt 1/4 cup of the white chocolate chips and then dip the sticks into the melted white chocolate. Stick that dipped portion through the cake balls, being careful not to go all of the way through. Place in the fridge for 10 minutes to set. This will help to keep the cake balls from falling off.
In a separate bowl, mix two tablespoons of the white chocolate with the pink gel food coloring. Transfer the chocolate to a piping bag or a Ziploc bag with a small corner snipped off.
Take each of the chilled cake pops and dip them into the white chocolate, draining off any excess chocolate as you go. Immediately top them with sprinkles or pipe the pink chocolate mixture over the top of the cake pop.

Let cool for 30 minutes to harden up, or place them in the fridge to help speed up this process. Serve & enjoy!

That said, even the broken or “ugly” cake pops still look and taste great. Adding sprinkles helps too!
Yes! Cake pops can do pretty well in the freezer if you freeze in an airtight container for up to a few weeks. Simply thaw before eating, or enjoy cold. They won’t take long to thaw if held at room temperature for a few minutes they should become soft enough to bite through.

The calendar gifted us something fun this year – National Cake Pop Day and the Super Bowl fall on the SAME DAY. It’s the only two food holidays we really need, right? Right. To celebrate, we’re making the best ever homemade cake pops! Spoiler – they’re easier to make than you might think.
First up, we’re baking the most fudgy chocolate cake! This recipe makes enough cake for two 9-inch round pans, and yields about 56 cake pops. You can, of course, cut this in half if you don’t want that many cake pops. You could also make the entire recipe, and freeze half of the cake pop balls (without dipping them in the chocolate) for later. Then, whenever you want a cake pop or two – you can make a couple! Or, you can make the rest of the batch for a celebration/birthday party/etc. down the road. This is what I like to do with this recipe!

Use your electric mixer to beat in the sweetened condensed milk and the chocolate frosting, then we get to make fun shapes! To make the football shapes, roll a ball, and then pinch and pull the ends out until it looks like a sort of rounded diamond. Since Valentine’s Day is also coming up, I made a few hearts as well! To make a heart, roll a ball, then flatten it a bit and shape it into a triangle with the point at the bottom. Use your finger or knuckle to make the indent in the top of the heart. Next, chill the balls in the fridge for at least 2 hours or up to 24 hours. When you’re ready to dip, get your chocolate melted, using a 1-cup glass measuring cup.
