Cakesicles are like a cake pop… but better! These frozen cake popsicles are a refreshing treat and insanely easy to make with just a few ingredients! This recipe uses soft cake crumbles, sweet frosting, and chocolate molds: perfection. Serve these treats either frozen or at room temperature when you’re craving something a little extra sweet.

Just like my yummy nice cream with birthday cake granola, these cakesicles are filled with delectable vanilla flavors that are comforting, satisfying, and sweet. Chunks of yellow cake are mixed with rich frozen chocolate–a combination that is similar to utopia.

Another great thing about these frozen cake pops is the fact they are so simple to make. With just a few simple steps, you will have some tasty treats ready in no time. I like to make a batch of these treats to snack on throughout the week when I need a little extra pick-me-up. And? An an intuitive eater I can do this without any guilt, stress or anxiety about having dessert nor feel like I’ll inhale them all in 0.67 seconds when I get the delectable sweet taste of that first bite. So. Freaking. Freeing!

Step Two: Combine the chocolate chips and coconut oil into a bowl and microwave for a couple of minutes until melted. To prevent burning, stop the microwave to stir every 20-30 seconds.

Step Five: After five minutes, remove the mold from the freezer and fill it with the cake mixture. Fill each mold to the top and then insert the popsicle sticks into the mold and flatten any areas.

Adjust the cake filling as needed after inserting the popsicle sticks. Be sure to flatten the top of the cake mixture so it’s nice and smooth.

Step Six: Next, paint the over the cake filling with more chocolate while encasing it. Be sure to coat the entirety of the cake crumbles making a solid smooth surface.

It’s possible the chocolate layer was not even around the cake crumbles. That’s okay, no matter how you eat these cakesicles, they are still delicious!

So we created this cakesicle recipe! These are just like cake pops—compacted cake under a candy melt shell—except in the shape of a popsicle. With cakesicles, there’s more to eat than in a cake pop

As always, too, the recipe is simple (simpler than cake pops, even!) and the ingredients ordinary. This is a treat anyone can make at any time of the year. You’ll only need a few special tools, like a cakesicle mold, to shape your cakesicles…and, of course, your favorite sprinkles.

If you know how to make a cake, you know how to make a cakesicle! Get a hold of our cakesicle mold and a few acrylic popsicle sticks and you have all you need to create these cute-as-a-button treats.
